At our March 2024 meeting Bill Lindsay will bring some copies of his recently published book on William Schaw Lindsay for sale at reduced price of £20.
Our February meeting coincides with Ash Wednesday when there will be a service in the church, so we will meet in the side room we have used in the past.
Looking forward to an interesting talk next Wednesday 13th December at 7pm by Ray Lonsdale, creator of over 30 statues including Tommy, Fiddlers Green and lately the Herring Girl.
All welcome £5 entry (cash) to non-members off History Society.
Although we were concerned some members might not be happy to attend the last meeting of the season on the 13th April about William Linskill held in the smaller hall and some were indeed missing, we still had an excellent attendance of 38 including 11 new visitors who were most welcome and we hope to see again for the next series of talks. A list of these talks can be seen on the "Events" page.

We were notified after the last meeting in March that when our next meeting on 13th April is due there is a Holy Week service in the church where we normally meet. This means for this meeting only we will go back to the adjacent hall where we used to meet. This of course is less spacious but we hope will be acceptable to our members.
